How's it going guys! For this Blog post we'll be describing in detail as to how to mold the perfect mold for your Grill Set.
Here at Johnny's Ice and Co. Once you place your online Grillz order, we instantly package up your mold kit to ship to you. This includes white and blue molding putty, two molding trays (upper and lower teeth), and a return label for shipping. Once you receive your kit in the mail, you have a few options. Usually, we would have you Video Chat one of our professional jewelers to make sure that you properly mold your mouth for your Grillz. However, in this Blog post, we will have step by step directions that you can also refer back to if you need information on how to make the perfect mold.
** WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU USE A MIRROR OR SOME FORM OF REFLECTION TO PROPERLY SEE WHAT YOUR ARE DOING DURING THE MOLDING PROCESS **
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS:
STEP 1:
First things first, take out the entire molding kit. DO NOT MIX THE PUTTY YET. Prepare the trays for molding. We recommend that you have some paper towel on hand for any saliva that may come out of your mouth during the process.
STEP 2:
Now that the molding kit is in front of you, quickly mix the white and blue putty by hand. YOU ONLY HAVE 30 SECONDS, MAKE IT FAST! Once the putty is a johnnys ice color, press it into the tray. Fill the tray with the putty, and make sure that it is full to the top of the tray. Line up the center of the tray with the center of your teeth, and press the mold up/down onto your teeth. While pressing up, bite down into the mold to get a deep mold for better Grill production. Once you've pressed your teeth into the mold, push up from the bottom side of the tray to make sure that the mold is pressed in, in both the front and the back.
STEP 3:
The easiest step. Set a timer for 5 minutes to allow the molds to harden and form around your teeth.
STEP 4:
Once 5 minutes have gone by, open your mouth, pull down on the handle of the mold while lifting your jaw up. Give it a few good pulls and it should pop right out with a perfect mold.
STEP 5:
Repeat steps 1-4 on your bottom molds if you ordered bottom teeth.
After your mouth has been molded, you will then package up your molds back into the package you received them in. Tape the label to the box, tape the box back together, and ship it back out to our HQ location 621 Beville Rd Daytona Beach Florida 32119 . Once we receive the molds in the mail, the turnaround time on creating your Grillz through a wax and metal casting process takes a week and a half to 2 weeks.
